ATS PICK: Ohio State
Nebraska has obviously improved.
Adrian Martinez and the passing game have been outstanding, and considering what Purdue did to Ohio State just two weeks ago, it’ll be easy to assume that lightning can strike again.
But Nebraska can be amazing, Martinez can go wild on the Buckeye secondary, and Ohio State can still win in a blowout.
Forgetting that this Buckeye coaching staff has had two weeks to prepare and the rejuvenate the team, the firepower is about to be too much.
Ohio State struggled against Indiana – and won by 23.
It had a hard time for a while against TCU, and it still won by 12, slept through the Minnesota game and won by 16, and won the three easy games by an average of 44 points – and all three of those were at home.
Wisconsin was able to get by Nebraska by 17, Purdue won by 14, and Michigan rolled by Big Red by 46.
And now you’re asking a ticked off, motivated and rested Ohio State to win by just 18.5.
So, you’re not convinced.
Dwayne Haskins has been a 400-yard passing machine, and now he’s getting to work against one of the nation’s worst pass defense and a team that gives up big plays in chunks.
That’s what Ohio State did to Michigan State last year in the game after the embarrassing loss to Iowa.
