LINE: Miami -9.5, o/u: 50.5
ATS PICK: Duke
Can Duke pull up out of the nosedive?
After an amazing start, the Blue Devils lost a stunning shootout against Pitt a week after the O didn’t work against Virginia. Most galling, the O went nowhere at home against a Virginia Tech team that hasn’t been able to stop anyone.
But there’s a decent chance that Miami just isn’t very good.
The Hurricanes are back home after losing straight, and they’ve suffered a power outage of their own with just 27 points in the last two games.
The big concern is what the team did before the last three weeks, throwing in the issues in the 28-27 win over Florida State.
The team won four games in blowout fashion, with three of them at home.
But considering the problems over the last three games, the 9.5 is way too big a number.
The Canes should win, but this should be a low-scoring fight. Miami needs the turnovers and the chain to one out for this to be a blowout. The Blue Devils gave it up three times in the win over Georgia Tech and twice against Virginia, it’s only given it up nine times on the year.
They should be able to keep this reasonably close.
