Temple (7-4) vs. UConn (1-10) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Can UConn make anything out of its season after failing to beat an FBS team so far?
Arguably the nation’s worst team this season, the defense never got any better, and even the best offensive moments weren’t good enough to overcome all of the other issues.
Temple will be happy to crank up the offense on the road and take advantage of all of the problems. Start with the running game.
The Owls don’t have to do anything crazy to win. Start handing the ball off to Ryquell Armstead, and keep doing it – and then hand it off to the other backs.
The UConn defensive front has allowed 300 rushing yards or more in seven of the last eight games, with Tulsa’s mediocre attack rumbling for 470 and East Carolina coming up with 415.
The Huskies are giving up over seven yards per carry, and that’s not going to slow down here. The UConn offense will run well enough to keep this from being too brutal a blowout – it’ll come up with at least 200 rushing yards – but that won’t be nearly enough to keep up.
