Rice (1-9) vs. Louisiana Tech (6-3) Game Preview

Free daily ATS lock pick just released: ‘100% confidence release!’

What’s Going To Happen

After suffering the indignity of losing to UTEP – the Miners’ first win since 2016 – Rice has to try to find something positive about a season that’s falling into the abyss. Ruining Louisiana Tech’s Conference USA title chances would do it.

The Bulldogs’ loss to UAB might have been a killer. Now, they have to win out, and they need the Blazers to lose twice, to win the West. But they’re going bowling, and now they’ll jockey for the best 13th game possible if they can’t get to the conference title game.

Rice can’t move the chains a lick, and they have no passing game whatsoever, but the offensive line has been okay at times and the running attack has had a few moments, but it’s not working so far.

Louisiana Tech has the defensive front to get into the backfield throughout and stop Owl plays before they can get started. The Owls won’t be able to throw on the Bulldog secondary, and they’re going to have a nightmare of a time moving the chains.

This might not be an explosive Louisiana Tech offense, but it should be able to get up early and coast from there. It’ll be a go-through-the-motions game, but it’ll be a no drama win coming off a 45-3 blasting from Mississippi State.
