Navy (2-7) vs. UCF (8-0) Game Preview

Free daily ATS lock pick just released: ‘100% confidence release!’

What’s Going To Happen

In an awful season for Navy, is this the one chance it has to come up with something special to make it okay? Beating Army is important – as always – but beating UCF and ending the winning streak would make the year.

So what’s the problem? The defense just isn’t able to come up with stops.

The offense is cranking out the rushing stats, but the O just can’t get control of the game. The lack of any sort of defensive pressure has been a killer, but the ground game is getting shut down too much, hitting a new low in an ugly 42-0 shutout against Cincinnati last week.

It’s possible to run wild on this UCF offense. Florida Atlantic tore off 320 yards, and four times this season teams ran for over 200 yards. That’s made things interesting, but the Knight offense has been too good and too strong whenever it’s been tested.

No pressure on McKenzie Milton means death to a defense that’s been getting rocked through the air. Temple, Houston, and Notre Dame all went wild on the Midshipmen D, and so will the Knights.

They’ll have problems for a while with the option, and Navy will keep this interesting for a half, but the defense simply won’t do much of anything to stay alive over the last 30 minutes.
