Navy (3-8) vs. Tulane (5-6) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
It’s running game vs. running game, but can Navy’s second-ranked attack be enough to keep Tulane from going bowling?
The Green Wave just got ripped up by Houston for almost 300 rushing yards, but that’s been about it over the second half of the season.
The defense has been terrific, and the ground attack found enough of a groove to destroy USF and get by Tulsa to stay alive for a 13th game.
Navy just can’t stop anyone, but most of its problems are coming against the better passing teams. The defensive front isn’t getting into the backfield and it’s not getting off the field – the Midshipmen aren’t controlling games even though the offense is clicking.
Tulane has just enough of a passing attack to take advantage of the porous Navy secondary, with former LSU Tiger Justin McMillian throwing for 372 yards against East Carolina two weeks ago.
He’s not going to go off, but there will be just enough passing to go along with the ground game to get that sixth win.
