LINE: Purdue -3, o/u: 51
Just when it seemed like Purdue was about to make a massive statement in the Big Ten chase, the fun of the Ohio State loss faded fast as Michigan State came up with a gem of a defensive performance in a 23-13 win.
Now, the Boilermakers have to win two of the last four just to go bowling. They should be able to do that, but first they have to go against a nasty Iowa defense with the ability to make the game a low-scoring battle.
And, the Hawkeyes have the offense to get this done, too.
QB Nate Stanley might have been beaten up and battered a bit, but the passing game was doing a great job up until it dealt with the wind in the win over Maryland, and struggled in the slugfest against Penn State.
The banged up Hawkeyes have to gear it up quickly, but they have the lines and the defensive front to pull this off to set up a showdown against Northwestern for the lead in the Big Ten West pack.
