This is one of those enough is enough moments for Virginia Tech.
Boston College has been terrific over the last month, wining three of the last four games and getting by Louisville and Miami to not only get bowl eligible, but put itself in the chase for the ACC title with Clemson up next.
Meanwhile, Virginia Tech’s defense has gone bye-bye, giving up 45 points to Notre Dame and 49 to Georgia Tech in the last two home games.
But here’s the weird thing about the Hokies – they’ve been a pattern team.
They’ve alternated win-loss-win-loss over the last six games, and in those three losses, they’ve allowed 45 points or more in each one. In the three wins, they’ve allowed 19 points or fewer.
Why does this matter? The make adjustments, and now they’re overdue for a big day in Blacksburg.
