Based from the smallest point spread to the biggest, these are the five most dangerous games this week for the favorites. It might not necessarily turn out to be an outright upset in each game – most of the official picks here are against the spread – but out of these five, expect a few shockers.

The goal here isn’t to necessarily find the ones who are going to win, but if that happens, so be it.

Results So Far
Upset Picks Won Outright: 7-8
Upset Picks Against The Spread: 8-7

3 That Didn’t Make The List, But On High Alert (at least against the spread)

North Carolina +4.5 over Georgia Tech

5. UTEP at Rice

LINE: Rice -1, o/u: 45

This had to be done.

It’s a showdown of the two worst teams in college football over the last two seasons, and death – and a tie – is not an option.

The Miners might have just been blanked by UAB 19-0, but the offense hasn’t been all that bad, and the team has been more than just a little bit competitive.

Four of the last six games were decided by a touchdown or less, and at least the team has been able to occasionally score.

Rice has been a disaster lately, failing to score more than 17 points in any of the last four games. Worse year, after needing a massive comeback to beat Prairie View A&M to start the season, they’re been blown apart in every game by double-digits.

Rice is the new UTEP.
