Based from the smallest point spread to the biggest, these are the five most dangerous games this week for the favorites. It might not necessarily turn out to be an outright upset in each game – most of the official picks here are against the spread – but out of these five, expect a few shockers.

The goal here isn’t to necessarily find the ones who are going to win, but if that happens, so be it. The hope is to find the needle in the haystack.

5. Maryland at Indiana

LINE: Indiana -1, o/u: 55.5

It’s not asking for all that much out of Maryland.

The Terps have the running game, and they have the ability to grind out games against teams at their own level. Indiana might be rested, but it doesn’t have a dangerous downfield passing attack, and it has to hope it doesn’t catch Maryland on the wrong day.

Win-loss-win-loss-win-loss-win-loss-win-loss. That’s been the pattern for the Terps after the opener against Texas, and now their due for a win again. But can IU stop the run?

Yeah, it’s been decent all year, but it hasn’t been hammered on by anyone who commits to the ground attack like Maryland will.

The Hoosiers have lost four straight, their only win in Big Ten play is over Rutgers, and they suffered the indignity of losing to Minnesota.

Maryland is the better team. It just has to play like it.
