This is all just for spits, giggles, and entertainment purposes only. However, just in case you dabble …

MAC Championship, be interesting. It could be close, considering Northern Illinois has a way of keeping everything tight. Which is why the line moving down from Buffalo -4 to -3.5 matters. Seven of the last ten Huskie games have been decided by eight points or fewer, but getting points out of this NIU attack against decent defenses is like pulling teeth. The D will keep it under the 51 point total, but UB is too balanced and too good.

Washington showed last week against Washington State that the machine has turned on. The Huskies might not have the most scintillating offense, but the defense is about to give the backups in the Ute backfield a long night. The line boosted up to Washington -5.5 after starting out around three, but it’ll be possible to get five if you like the Dawgs. But that boost up a few points matters.

Washington just doesn’t score enough – unless it’s against Oregon State, and Utah certainly isn’t that. U-Dub either pulls this off on a late field goal, or Utah wins it outright. Take the 5.5 and the under 45 – as tough as both might be.

East Carolina just fired head coach Scottie Montgomery, the team can’t stop anyone with a decent passing game, and NC State is going to take this seriously because the fan base doesn’t want to hear it from the ECU types. This all depends on how ugly the Wolfpack want to make it, but the 23 isn’t a huge number going against this Pirate D.

Marshall could win this. Virginia Tech had its emotional win over Virginia last week, but it still has a whole slew of issues against decent running teams. The Herd can kick back and have fun. They’re going bowling, they’ve had a nice season, and now the pressure is totally off.

Outside of that Virginia game, this Hokie squad has turtled all year in big moments. Even so, the program desperately wants this win to go bowling, so if you have to, Virginia Tech -3.5 isn’t that big. But just be careful here.

Akron is just pesky enough to cover the 30 against South Carolina. After collapsing against Florida a few weeks ago, and losing to Clemson last week, this hurricane fill-in game might just be a cathartic moment for the Gamecocks as they rip apart ol’ Terry Bowden and the Zips. But the 30 is too big a number, especially after going up from 28.5. Don’t go to big here, but this is Akron’s bowl game, and it might just play like it.

Just stay away from the Big Game. Postponed because of the wildfire nightmare, Stanford goes to Cal in what should be a fun battle of two teams that should keep the score low. Going under on 46 points is scary, but that’s the correct call here, as is Stanford giving away three.

However, the Cal defense has been a bit of an X factor this season. Its pass defense is good enough to make this close late, and in a quirky twist to this rivalry game, there are too many parts unknown here. But if you have to … Stanford.
