This is all just for spits, giggles, and entertainment purposes only. However, just in case you dabble …

Texas seems to play everything way too close at times, and this is the final game of the David Beaty era, but no. Just … no.

If Texas wasn’t playing for a spot in the Big 12 Championship, this might be a wee bit dangerous. But the line hasn’t moved from 15, even if the total has dropped to 49. The Jayhawks will play hard, but Texas is playing for something special.

I don’t like this any better than you do, but do you really want to be on the wrong side of an epic Oklahoma-West Virginia firefight? I know, I know, it’s contradictory, but even with the prediction going over the ridiculous 85 point total, go under on principle.

Even for these two, it’ll take so, so much to get there. If one of the two hangs around the 30s, that’s it.

As far as the game, I’m not wavering. West Virginia, getting points, at home. The three is immaterial considering the Mountaineers should win this outright.

It just seems like Baylor vs. Texas Tech should be wild and crazy, but nope. The winner goes bowling, and Baylor is at home, but … Texas Tech giving away five is the right call. It’s not fun when a favorite in the bowl-or-bust game is the road team – like Purdue at Indiana – but the Red Raiders are stronger. They’ll bounce back fast from last week’s disaster against Kansas State.

Kansas State needs another miracle win to go bowling. It stuffed Texas Tech cold, but that’s not going to be enough against an Iowa State team that should be too balanced. However, stay away. The line was fine at Iowa State -13.5, but 13 is right about where the number should be. Again, the Cyclones are stronger, but the Wildcats are far more motivated. In other words, you don’t like this game.

Oklahoma State is already bowl eligible, and TCU is coming off a shocking performance to stop Baylor dead to keep bowl hopes alive. The line is only Cowboys -5 – the public is thinking this is going to be low scoring with the Horned Frog defense coming up big.

It’ll only take about 27 points for Oklahoma State to put this away. TCU needs this more, and it’s at home. Getting five is an added bonus.
