Air Force (4-6) vs. Wyoming (4-6) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Who wants to stay alive for a bowl game?
Wyoming might be ugly, and the offense hasn’t been great, but it’s on a two-game winning streak and now can get bowl eligible by beating Air Force and New Mexico.
Air Force has struggled and sputtered, but the win over New Mexico last week has kept the season alive. Win this, beat Colorado State, and it’s bowl eligible.
It’s this simple – Wyoming’s run defense is great, and Air Force has to run well.
The Cowboys haven’t been hit for more than 161 yards in and of the six games, and stuffed Colorado State and San Jose State got 91 yards combined. The Falcons aren’t going to get hammered by this lousy Wyoming offense that can’t do enough with the passing game and is last in the Mountain West in total offense.
Stop the run, and win the turnover battle. It’ll be a grind, but the Cowboys will play their game and control the tempo to get their fifth win and – very quietly – keep the solid second part of the season going.
