This is all just for spits, giggles, and entertainment purposes only. However, just in case you dabble …

There are some games you don’t even mess with, and Virginia-Virginia Tech is one of them. The Hokies are desperate, and the Cavaliers aren’t – but the Cavaliers are better than the Hokies.

If you must, take the desperate team at home getting 4.5. There’s nothing Virginia Tech has done lately to suggest that it can win a game like this, and Virginia really, really cares. But again … desperate.

You’re not crazy for liking Georgia Tech +17. Georgia is amazing, but lately – at least among the lesser teams – there’s been a bit of a lookahead problem. This Yellow Jacket option attack is just confident enough to pull off something special. The Bulldogs are the play, but again, if you like Tech, go for it.

Florida State really, really, really, really, really cares about this whole bowl streak thing. After this rocky year, getting a sixth game would be a huge deal for the early part of the Willie Taggart era. But Florida is just plain better. Liked it at Florida -5, loved it at -4, hate it at -7.

Go with Boston College, especially now that the line is down to 6.5. Syracuse would be the call if Eric Dungey was healthy, but the quarterback situation is such an issue that there’s no reason to push this. BC by a touchdown isn’t a hard chance to take.

Warning. I’ve been way too into thinking North Carolina is about to rise up and do something amazing at some point. This is almost certainly the last go-round for the Larry Fedora era – not to be that guy, but I’ve heard of an interestingly massive named rumor for the job, sort of off the mainstream radar – and the team has been achingly close to pulling off something fun.

NC State is better, and Ryan Finley should be able to go off, but for now, like the Tar Heels getting a touchdown at home. They won’t, but they might just win this outright.

I’m a sucker for teams needing one more win to go bowling vs. a team that’s already set. Wake Forest isn’t that great, but it should be able to at least cover the 11 against Duke, if not pull this off and get to six. Love the 11, and LOVE the over on the 58 point total.

The whole Miami Revenge Factor against Pitt is more of a figment of the media – at least those going that way. This is a mess of a Hurricane offense, especially after top receiver Jeff Thomas is no longer a part of the fun. The line is all over the board – you can get it at Canes -6 if you like Pitt – but it’s settling in at around 4.5.

Pitt isn’t going to care about this – it’s about to deal with Clemson. The Miami run defense takes care of this at home in a low-scoring game.
Pitt at Miami Game Preview & Prediction

There’s always the crazy rivalry potential of a team like South Carolina rising up and royally screwing up Clemson. At the very least, the Tigers giving up 26 is a big task. They’ll win, but they’re not going to roll over the Gamecocks too badly.

Do you really think Louisville has the lines, the talent, and the skill to hang around with Kentucky? The coaching change should be a plus – it can’t hurt – but the Wildcats should be able to pound away at will on the Cardinal defensive front. The 17 points will be a breeze.
