This is all just for spits, giggles, and entertainment purposes only. However, just in case you dabble …

Be forewarned … I thought NC State – minus the points – was a mortal lock over Wake Forest. It was a Thursday night. It was at home. Wake Forest isn’t all that great at college football, and it didn’t have its starting quarterback, and … nope. I shall recalibrate.

Is the sky blue? Really, how clearly are things coming into focus this week? This is that moment.

The point total in the Friday night Louisville-Syracuse game is just 69.

I know, I know, that’s a big number no matter what, and there’s a chance Louisville sputters, coughs, and mails it in. However, the one thing this miserable team can do is throw a little bit, and you know Syracuse is going to bomb away.

Lukewarm on the Orange giving away 21, but the over on that 69? Oh yes, that, I like very, very much.

I like North Carolina to beat Duke outright, and you’re giving me 11 points? Duke has been just okay, and this is – to go cliché – like North Carolina’s bowl game. The Tar Heels have been close time and again in all of these losses, and even if I’m wrong overall, giving away 11 in this is silly.

It’s a bad sign when you’re hoping for the line to bail you out of a pick. I always make the predictions first, then look at the lines, and never adjust unless it’s right on it, just in case.

The prediction is Virginia to beat Liberty by around 26 points, and the line has stayed at around 23.5. That’s a nice cushion, but … something tells me this is letdown time for the Cavaliers against a jacked up Flame squad. I’m sticking with it, but secretly hoping the line goes up to 26.5 by gametime.

It would be so, so, so Pitt to have the whole world right there for the taking, and blow it? All it has to do is beat a weird Virginia Tech team at home, and it’s right … there for the Coastal title. I’m done thinking the Hokies are going to suddenly rise up and rock, and Pitt is only giving away three. But be careful. It’s Pitt.
Virginia Tech vs. Pitt Game Preview & Prediction

At some point, Miami is going to win a game just because its defense is great up front. Of course Georgia Tech is rolling, but to pull this off, it’s going to have to run for over 350 yards against this loaded defensive front seven. Nahhhh.

As dysfunctional as the Canes are, they’re getting three points against a team that rolled Virginia Tech, and little else over this run of four wins in the last five games.

Loved, loved, LOVED Florida State to be pesky against Notre Dame with Ian Book at quarterback – here’s hoping you got in at Irish -18 before the line sank like a stone.

It was at 17.5 after it was announced that Book was out, and now it’s at 16.5. That’s a little much, but the FSU defense should keep this relatively close, and the Nole passing game will make this scary.

The Irish are going to lose at some point over the last three weeks – this has a bit of a 1993 Boston Collegey feel to it. At the very least, the 16.5 is still a nice number – even if it’s not 18.
Florida State vs. Notre Dame Game Preview & Prediction

Yeah, I was sure-thing, no problem on NC State. But I’m not buckling at all on the sure-thing, first-reaction, Clemson-is-going-to-murder-Boston-College belief, especially after the line dropped a wee bit to get down to 19.5.

Yeah, it looks like AJ Dillon is playing, but that’s a good thing – the line might hit around 18ish when all is said and done.

Remember, this BC team has beaten a fat load of nobody so far, and Clemson appears to be loving the idea that it’s winning time now. It’s going to be in the 40s in Boston, and the Eagle pass rush is going to bother Trevor Lawrence early, but Clemson is going to show what it’s the No. 2 team in the country.
