LINE: Purdue -4, o/u: 53.5
Wisconsin has been a big dull dud over the last few weeks with QB Alex Hornibrook hurting with concussion issues. The offense has gone into a shell, no one believes Jack Coan can throw, and Northwestern and Penn State were able to come up with shockingly easy wins.
Purdue, though, is pushing for bowl eligibility in its final home game of the year. The last three games in West Lafayette were all impressive, with a 17-point win over Boston College, a slugfest with Iowa, and that 49-20 blasting of Ohio State that still plays a huge role in the national discussion.
And now Wisconsin is about to screw all of that up.
At some point, even with Coan under center, the Badgers have to go Badgers again.
The secondary hasn’t been nearly as bad as originally expected, RB Jonathan Taylor has been great, and the rushing attack should be ready to go off.
Missouri won at Purdue by running for 233 yards. Minnesota ripped it up last week in Minneapolis by tearing off 265 yards in the 41-10 win.
Wisconsin’s running game will be back this week.
