Wyoming (2-4) vs. Fresno State (4-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Very, very quietly, Fresno State is lurking again.
It beat UCLA – but everyone does that.
It whacked around Toledo, and it shut down Nevada last week in a 21-3 win. The big showdowns are coming up, but first, it can’t whiff at home against a punchless Wyoming team that can’t seem to find its footing.
The Cowboys are doing a decent job defensively, but the offense can’t do its part. They’ve failed to score more than 20 points in any of the last five games since opening up the season with a 29-7 win over New Mexico State.
With a hot Utah State team up next, UW’s season might come down to whether or not it can come up with something big this week in Fresno.
The defense will keep the game close, but the Fresno State defense will hold down the Cowboy attack that can’t move the chains and isn’t getting anything from its offensive front.
Wyoming gives up too many plays in the backfield, and Fresno State’s O line doesn’t.
Don’t expect anything amazing and fun in a defensive slugfest, but Bulldog fans won’t complain.
