USF (4-0) vs. UMass (2-4) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
It has all worked so far for USF.
It managed to beat Georgia Tech and Illinois, it didn’t show up against East Carolina and still won, and now it’s coming off a 4-0 start with two weeks off to get ready for an easy run of UMass, Tulsa and UConn.
QB Blake Barnett has been excellent, the defense has been terrific at times, and the secondary is good enough to hold down a UMass team that can throw, but really, really can’t stop anyone.
UMass has allowed 55 points or more in three of the last five games, mostly getting destroyed on the defensive front.
Barnett might be solid for the USF passing game, but this will be about Florida transfer Jordan Cronkrite, who hit the 100-yard mark in the last two games. He’ll be a big part of a ground game that blasts for well over 300 yards, but it’ll still be a fight to put UMass away.
The Minutemen have the offensive pop to put up points, but when needed, the Bulls will take over midway through the second half.
