UNLV (2-2) vs. New Mexico (2-2) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Can UNLV make a push without its star quarterback?
Armani Rogers is out with a toe injury, and while that might actually help the Rebel passing game, it takes away a weapon from the great ground attack.
New Mexico also lost its quarterback, with Tevaka Tuioti tried to come back after suffering a concussion against Wisconsin, but was knocked out for the season with a broken clavicle in the loss to Liberty.
Cal transfer Max Gilliam will take over the reigns for the Rebels, but the offense that cranked out more than 300 yards per game on the ground will still work. New Mexico can’t stop anyone’s running attack, much less one that averages over six yards per carry.
Rogers had a lot to do with that, but he struggled way too much to balance things out.
The Lobo offense isn’t the same with Sherrion Jones under center, but he’s not the issue. UNLV will be able to move the ball however it wants to.
