Ten Best Over/Under Point Total Predictions: Week 7

3. Missouri at Alabama

LINE: Alabama -27.5, o/u: 74.5

If Alabama was coming off a 65-3 win over Arkansas instead of 65-31, there would be a much bigger concern.

The Crimson Tide defense is being challenged a bit after giving up the most regular season points to anyone outside of Ole Miss for almost eight years.

Of course, you’re not thinking about the over on 74.5 because of Missouri. You’re worrying about Bama putting up more than 50 points like it was ordering a latte.

But you’re really thinking about going over on a 74.5 total in an Alabama game?

Really, before last week against the Hogs, how many times have Crimson Tide games gone to 75 points or more over the last several years? Before last week, it was 28 games – again, Arkansas was the opponent in a 49-30 Bama win in the middle of 2016.

And the week after? The Crimson Tide beat Tennessee 49-10.

Since Alabama lost to Tennessee 51-43 back in late October of 2003, just ten Tide games have seen 75 points or more, and they’ve almost all been epic. As in, Deshaun Watson, Johnny Manziel, 2014 Sugar Bowl vs. Oklahoma,  College Football Playoff loss to Ohio State, 55-44 2014 Iron Bowl classic types of games.

It’s not going to happen two weeks in a row.
