Every fiber of my being wants to take Arkansas and the 35 against Alabama. Just like last week it went against everything I believe to be true that you never, ever, ever give away 49 points to anyone – and it turned out to be right vs. Louisiana – you never, ever, ever give away 35 points on the road to an SEC team. I also know that you never, ever, ever pick against Alabama unless you absolutely have to.

Okay, I’ll be the one to say it. Kentucky, it’s been fun, and you’re good, but this is going to stop. Texas A&M at home will have the ability to get behind the line to stop Benny Snell, and the Aggie O will rise up after a poor performance against Arkansas. The 5.5 Texas A&M is giving away isn’t a thing, but it’s going to be a low scoring battle.

There’s no question that Georgia if fabulous, but it doesn’t seem to want to put together a complete game lately. It was sloppy against Missouri, and it didn’t make Tennessee look awful. Neither game was decided by more than 26 points. Vanderbilt’s offense – at least the passing game – could be just plucky enough to make you worry about the spread. The Dawgs will win, but you’re sweating one way or another on this pick.

This isn’t the Auburn team we all thought it would be. It’s not explosive enough, the running game isn’t quite right, and Jarrett Stidham has been just okay. But that D has been a BEAR. Mississippi State’s offense has hit a wall in SEC play, and it’s not going to become a killer against this defense that’s allowed just 63 points on the year. Go with the Tigers -3.5, and if it doesn’t work out, sleep well knowing that it was still the correct call.

Enough of your hoo-ha, Ole Miss. Get this offense going, and piledrive ULM by more than 22.5. The only two games the O didn’t work were against Alabama and LSU – that’s okay. After the problems against LSU, this is where the team has to go full-throttle, and it will.
