Middle Tennessee (4-3) vs. Old Dominion (1-4) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Middle Tennessee is on the verge of getting its season going.
It’s won three of the last four, but loss at FIU two weeks ago was a hit for the Conference USA title chase. Fortunately, the rest of the conference slate is a bit of a breeze up until the regular season finale against UAB.
But first, it has to deal with the Old Dominion offense.
The Monarchs aren’t moving the chains, and they’re not playing any semblance of defense, but they have a dangerous enough passing game to stay around with just about anyone.
The Blue Raider pass defense isn’t a positive, and the offense doesn’t do a great job of going on long drives and controlling the clock. QB Brent Stockstill hasn’t been anything special lately, and the running game hasn’t quite picked up the slack.
But this is the game to gear it up.
It’s hard not to throw for 300 yards against the ODU secondary, but the Blue Raiders have to be ready for a shootout – they haven’t been able to do that in a while. They will this week.
