Marshall (3-2) vs. Old Dominion (1-5) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Enough, Marshall. It’s time to get the season going.
The Thundering Herd have been okay, but without QB Isaiah Green, the offense sputtered too much in the loss to Middle Tennessee at home last week. And now, there’s no margin for error if they want to stay in the East race.
Old Dominion should help the cause.
The Monarchs had their fun with the shocker over Virginia Tech – they haven’t beaten anyone else.
The offense continues to be fun, but the defense isn’t even close.
Marshall has to open it up and start rocking and rolling.
The ODU offense can’t come up with a key third down play, but the passing game is bombing away. The defense, though, is giving up 525 yards per game and getting hammered by offenses who want to do anything they feel like.
Marshall’s run defense will keep ODU to around 50 yards on the ground, but the secondary is going to be lit up. Fortunately, for the Herd, the passing game will click just enough to keep up.
The O hasn’t worked so far, but this week it’ll start looking the part just enough to pull it off on the road.
