Kent State (1-7) vs. Bowling Green (1-7) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Which team will get its first win over an FBS team?
Bowling Green didn’t do much last week under interim head coach Carl Pelini, getting whacked by Ohio 49-14, and now it has to get the offense going a bit at home to find something that works.
The big problem has been an offensive line that’s not giving anyone time to work. But Kent State’s offensive line is having an even harder time.
Kent State’s FlashFast style of offense hasn’t worked under Sean Lewis, but at least the team has been more than competitive, losing to Ohio and Akron by one point in each game in two of the last three games.
The Golden Flashes are the most penalized team in college football, and they have a whole slew of issues, but they come up with takeaways, and Bowling Green will give it up too much.
The Kent State running game will be just effective enough to get by against a Falcon team that’s allowed 212 rushing yards or more in every game, including 392 yards last week to Ohio.
Expect a fun game – these two teams are playing teams their own size.
