Houston (4-1) vs. East Carolina (2-3) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
East Carolina was starting to play a whole lot better and stronger – it pushed USF and beat North Carolina and Old Dominion – and then it got ripped apart by Temple on the road in a 49-6 clunker.
Houston, meanwhile, has turned everything back around after the shootout loss against Texas Tech. The team has cranked up 41 points or more in every game, and now it has to deal with a run of three road games in the next four dates.
The Pirates need to get the passing game going against a Houston secondary that gives up yards in bunches. They don’t have an efficient air show, but they can crank up the yards when they get into a groove.
The Houston offensive line is playing way too well, and it’s not going to be bothered by the ECU defensive front.
The ground game has gone off, coming up with 257 yards or more against everyone but Texas Tech, and D’Eriq King and the passing attack have been fantastic, with three touchdown passes or more in every game.
East Carolina is good at home, but the Cougars aren’t going to slip here.
