Florida Atlantic (2-3) vs. Old Dominion (1-4) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
After losing a stunner to Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic has to bounce back in a big hurry with at Marshall, Louisiana Tech and at FIU coming up next. Lose to Old Dominion, and it’ll be tough just to get into the bowl picture, much less with the Conference USA title again.
ODU played okay in its loss to East Carolina, but that’s a third loss by eight points or fewer in four games. But, of course, there was that blowout win over Virginia Tech in the mix, too.
Blake LaRussa followed up his 495 yards and four score day against the Hokies with 250 yards and two scores against ECU, but the offense still has a hard time moving the chains. The Monarchs don’t have a running game, and they’re the second-worst team in the nation on third downs.
Devin Singletary has ten touchdown runs in the last three games, and this week he’ll run for at least 120 yards and three scores against a woeful Monarch run D.
At home, this will be the bounce back game for the Owls.
