LINE: Auburn -4, o/u: 63.5
It almost feels like Auburn is favored because people think it’s supposed to be.
After all, it’s Auburn. This is the team that was one win away from going off to the College Football Playoff, it’s supposed to have a great offense, and it’s supposed to be rolling right now as it heads into the finishing key second half stretch.
But it’s just phhhffffffffffffft … flat.
There’s no spark to this offense, and worst of all, the secondary just got hit for 328 yards by Tennessee’s Jarrett Guarantano.
A team that has its spit together doesn’t get hit for 328 yards by Tennessee’s Jarrett Guarantano.
Meanwhile, this is a loose Ole Miss team with the ability to bomb away and put up 300 yards without blinking. The Rebels have the fun and exciting offense Auburn is supposed to have.
Jordan Ta’amu has been brilliant, completing 47-of-59 passes over the last two games for 761 yards and five scores, averaging 13 yards per pass during the stretch.
It’s a home game that’s sure to be a bit of a shootout against a team that doesn’t seem capable of handling the work.
