Cincinnati (6-0) vs. Temple (4-3) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Cincinnati has had two weeks off to rest, but it has its biggest test yet, and that includes the opener at UCLA.
Temple is on a roll, winning four of the last five games with the lone loss a good fight against Boston College.
The offense turns is over a bit too much, and there are too many missed opportunities, but the secondary has been fantastic and freshman QB Anthony Russo is on fire, throwing for 200 yards in four of his last five games including a 300-yard performance against Navy. Now he has to deal with the Cincinnati defense.
A rock so far, the Bearcats are amazing at coming up with key stops, they’re fourth in the nation in total defense, and they’re not allowing much of anything through the air.
Temple has the make-up and the talent to pull this off, but but the rested UC D will be too good in the secondary to let Russo go off. The Bearcats will control the clock, control the tempo, keep the chains moving, and come up with an efficient performance to get out alive.
Call this a two-week off win. The rest and the time to prepare will be the difference.
