Boise State (3-2) vs. Nevada (3-3) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Boise State has to find its groove again in a hurry.
Held to a dead stop in a 19-13 loss to San Diego State, the Broncos are still just fine. They might be out of the New Year’s Six bowl hunt, but it was a loss to the West – they can still rip through the East and get to the Mountain West title game and make amends.
The schedule just isn’t that tough – at least until the regular season finale against Utah State.
Nevada’s offense suffered a power outage against Fresno State in a 21-3 loss, but it’s a win away from getting right back into the Mountain West title hunt.
The Wolf Pack defense has been shockingly okay so far, but it gets picked apart by good, accurate passers.
Brett Rypien is too good to have another awful game.
The Boise State star hit four straight 300-yard games before getting stopped by the Aztec defense. He’ll make amends with three touchdown passes, and his pass defense will take care of the rest.
The Broncos lead the Mountain West in pass defense thanks to a pass rush that will live behind the Pack line and disrupt the timing of Nevada’s Air Raid attack.
