Wake Forest (1-0) vs. Towson (1-0) Game Preview

One Reason Why Towson Will Win

There’s a passing game thanks to Tom Flacco.

Joe Flacco’s brother went off against Morgan State, throwing for 245 yards and two scores, spreading the ball around well in the 35-10 win over Morgan State.

It was the defense, though, that took over the game, allowing just 66 yards on the ground with ten tackles for loss. Wake Forest didn’t have a problem with the Tulane defensive front, but the secondary was hit for 281 yards and two scores against a running team.

Flacco has the skills to bomb away.

One Reason Why Wake Forest Will Win

Sam Hartman had a fun debut.

Wake Forest turned it over three times – and Hartman threw two picks – but the passing game rolled for 378 yards in the 23-17 win over Tulane. Sage Surratt and Greg Dortch combined for almost 300 receiving yards, Alex Bachman caught two touchdown passes, and the air attack worked.

It’s about to fire at will against the Tigers.

After doing a decent job of getting behind the line last week, the Demon Deacons will beat up Flacco.

What’s Going To Happen

After so much drama in the overtime win over the Green Wave, the Demon Deacons are about to go off and have some fun. There will be a ground game to take the heat off of Hartman, but he won’t make the key mistakes.

This will be the game the team needs before dealing with Boston College.
