What’s Going To Happen
Rhode Island is off to a nice 2-0 start, taking care of Delaware and Albany to kick things off. The Rams have recovered five fumbles, the passing game is ultra-efficient, and the defense has managed to be just good enough to allow QB Jajuan Lawson and the offense to shine.
Connecticut is overdue for something positive after getting destroyed by UCF and Boise State to start the season.
The defense is dead last in the nation in third down stops, the secondary has been destroyed, and allowing 735 yards per game, the defense is currently the nation’s worst.
On the plus side, QB David Pindell is completing his share of throws, and he’s leading the team in rushing. However, he doesn’t play in the secondary.
Rhode Island will throw at will, but the Huskies will finally start to look better now that they’re facing someone their own size. Finally, the defense will come up with an occasional stop in a key moment.
