ATS PICK: Ole Miss
LSU is way overdue for a misfire.
The defense held firm against Auburn, and it gave Miami a hard time in the opener. But it also allowed 21 points to Louisiana Tech last week and the offense hasn’t been anything stellar.
Jordan Ta’amu might be banged up, and star receiver AJ Brown isn’t 100%, but get ready for the big-time Ole Miss passing attack that just might pull off the win.
Remember, the only Rebel loss came to Alabama. Of course, when you lose 62-7 – and it wasn’t even that close – on a national stage, of course there are going to be concerns.
But the team whacked Texas Tech by 20, and has the firepower to come up with a big run against a relatively punchless LSU.
The Tigers are the real deal, but QB Joe Burrow hasn’t shown any consistency and little accuracy. But they should be able to manufacture around 30 points.
Ole Miss will score at least 20, if not win this outright.
