LINE: Arizona State -5.5, o/u: 47.5
POINT TOTAL PICK: Under
The 47.5 isn’t that big a number, but with these two defenses, this should be more of a slugfest than last season’s 30-20 San Diego State win.
This year’s Arizona State team locked down UTSA to just seven points in the opener, and battled with Michigan State in a 16-13 win last week. The pass rush has been phenomenal, and the offense has been able to control the clock and the tempo.
San Diego State’s defense has been solid – it shut down Bryce Love cold in the 31-10 loss to Stanford, and even the win over Sacramento State only hit the 42-point total.
The ASU offense is struggling on third downs, San Diego State doesn’t have starting quarterback Christian Chapman, and now, these two should come up with a low-scoring fight.
