Memphis (2-1) vs. South Alabama (1-2) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
South Alabama got on the board last week for the first win of the Steve Campbell era with a 41-31 win over Texas State, but there are problems.
The Jaguars are last in the nation in third down conversions, there are way too many fumbles, and the passing game is struggling.
They also get hit with more penalty yards than anyone in college football.
But last week against Texas State, the passing game started to rock, with Evan Orth coming up with a strong performance to get the offense moving. He’s going to have to bomb away this week.
It’s been an inconsistent start for Brady White and the Memphis offense, but he’s had two strong games in the three, threw for five touchdowns in the opener against Mercer and then five more in last weeks win over Georgia State.
He’ll go for well over 300 with a massive day against the leaky USA secondary, but the Jaguars will come up with a few picks along the way. It won’t stop the Tigers from finishing with a big number – South Alabama won’t be able to keep up the pace.
