Week 5 Scoreboard & Predictions

So who’s really in the lead? How would the race go if the season ended right now? It’s only Week 5, but combining big stats and big performances on the big stage, here we go …

5 Players On The Radar After Two Weeks …

In alphabetical order …

QB Jake Fromm, Georgia
QB McKenzie Milton, UCF
QB Trace McSorley, Penn State
QB Steven Montez, Colorado
RB Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin

5. QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State

He’s off the list and Penn State’s Trace McSorley is at least No. 3 on this list if the epic game in Happy Valley goes the other way, but despite the struggles, he pulled it off.

He got a whole lot of help from the supporting cast – all of the Buckeye weapons were on display in the 27-26 win – but he’s the one who kept his cool on what might go down as a season-defining late scoring drive, and he’s the one who held up despite getting pummeled.

There were a few too many missed passes, and he ended up with a season-low 6.9 yards per attempt and 270 yards, but he threw three touchdown passes, and most importantly, he got the win.

Even with the off statistical day, he’s hitting 71% of his passes for 1,464 yards and 19 touchdowns and two picks.

And his team is 5-0 with a grip on the Big Ten East race.

NEXT: Everyone is trying to stop him, and it’s not working
