Heisman Trophy Race After Week 3

2. QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma

After three games last year, Baker Mayfield completed 63-of-82 passes for 1,046 yards and ten touchdown passes with no picks.

And he ran 13 times for -13 yards and now scores.

So how’s Kyler Murray doing after his first three games? 49-of-73 passes for 863 yards and eight touchdowns and one interception. So yeah, Mayfield was a better passer.

But Murray has rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns – and he beat Iowa State, too.

Very cool, and very calm, he managed to fight through the team’s first bout with adversity this year, with star RB Rodney Anderson gone and Iowa State providing a nice test on the road.

Sharp, he connected on 21-of-29 throws for a season-high 348 yards and three scores, and ran for a season-high 77 yards, too.

Not bad for a baseball player.
