Cincinnati (2-0) vs. Alabama A&M (1-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Alabama A&M might give the Bearcats a bit of a game.
The Bulldogs can get into the backfield – the defensive front is aggressive and effective – and the offense has decent enough balance to make UC work. With a great secondary – at least it’s playing well so far – this should be a nice test for freshman quarterback Desmond Ridder and the non-existent Bearcat passing game.
At some point, it has to work.
UC hasn’t done a whole lot through the air so far – and it won’t this week – but Ridder has been great on the ground, Michael Warren has busted out 233 yards and five scores in two games, and the defense has been a killer.
The Bearcat secondary will be great, too, the pass rush will get to Aqeel Glass just enough to force a few picks, and it’ll be another strong showing on the way to a 3-0 start for UC before facing Ohio.
