COASTAL: Duke | Georgia Tech | Miami
North Carolina | Pitt | Virginia | Virginia Tech

Boston College Eagles

Current Projected Starter: Anthony Brown, Soph.
Brown appears to be ready to go, practicing with the team despite suffering a knee injury late last season. EJ Perry got in most of the work this spring with Brown out, but the main man should be ready.

Clemson Tigers

Current Projected Starter: Kelly Bryant, Jr.
Trevor Lawrence is going to get work, and he’s going to get every opportunity to show what he can do. But the superstar recruit is starting the season behind Bryant, who’s coming up with a strong fall camp. Consider the opener against Furman an audition for both of them.

Duke Blue Devils

Current Projected Starter: Daniel Jones, Jr.
Jones is the established starter. Quentin Harris has seen a little time and can run. The entire season relies on Jones to be great, but Harris has to be ready if the offense stalls.

Florida State Seminoles

Current Projected Starter: Deondre Francois, Jr.
Head coach Willie Taggart said that Francois is behind the other options … and then named him the starter. Last year’s starter James Blackman will be the No. 2, with Bailey Hockman No. 3.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Current Projected Starter: TaQuon Marshall, Sr.
Marshall is the settled in No. 1 guy, but backup Matthew Jordan is done with a foot injury. Tobias Oliver was a spring star, battling with Lucas Johnson for the backup gig. However, star recruit James Graham could quickly be a factor.

Louisville Cardinals

Current Projected Starter: Jawon Pass, Soph.
Pass has to not only replace Lamar Jackson, but he’ll get to start out facing Alabama. However, Malik Cunningham is a big-time talent who might be too good to keep off the field this season.

Miami Hurricanes

Current Projected Starter: Malik Rosier, Sr.
Rosier might not be all that dynamic, but he’s a veteran who has a lock on the job. N’Kosi Perry hasn’t been able to make a big push, but it hasn’t happened yet. Now, Perry is in danger of potentially losing practice time in the mix to star recruit Jarren Williams.

North Carolina Tar Heels

Current Projected Starter: Nathan Elliott, Jr.
This just got weird. Chazz Surratt is the starter – when he’s back from suspension. He’s a part of the team’s sneaker issues, and that means Elliott will get the call for the opener against Cal. If he’s great, the job might just be his.

NC State Wolfpack

Current Projected Starter: Ryan Finley, Sr.
Finley might be the ACC’s best starting quarterback, but the depth is iffy now with Jalan McClendon transferring to Baylor. 6-4 redshirt freshman Matt McKay is the likely No. 2.

Pitt Panthers

Current Projected Starter: Kenny Pickett, Soph.
Pickett was going to be the No. 1 guy no matter what, and is was settled early with Ben DiNucci transferring to James Madison. JUCO transfer Ricky Town is a one-time super-recruit who’ll push for the backup job right away vs. star freshman Nick Patti.

Syracuse Orange

Current Projected Starter: Eric Dungey, Sr.
Dungey is a statistical star as long as he can stay in one piece – and hold off the rising star. As long as Dungey can stay on the field, the Orange offense will be dominant. The time will soon come for star-in-waiting redshirt freshman Tommy DeVito to show what he can do.

Virginia Cavaliers

Current Projected Starter: Bryce Perkins, Jr.
Watch out. From all indications, Perkins is about to become a star. The JUCO transfer who started out at Arizona State should fit perfectly into the offense. Sophomore Lindell Stone and freshman Brennan Armstrong will fight it out for the No. 2 gig.

Virginia Tech Hokies

Current Projected Starter: Josh Jackson, Soph.
After some drama this offseason, Jackson is back and should be the reason the Hokies are in the ACC title chase. Former Kansas transfer Ryan Willis, Hendon Hooker and freshman Quincy Patterson will fight for the No. 2 gig.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Current Projected Starter: Jamie Newman, Soph.
Kendall Hinton will be the star of the show once he’s back after being suspended for the first three games of the season for a “violation of team rules.” Newman is an interesting big bomber with – likely – the No. 2 job once Hinton is back, but it’s audition time for the starting spot. True freshman Sam Hartman will be groomed for the near future.

NEXT: AAC, Big Ten, Big 12, C-USA, Ind, MAC, MW, Pac-12, SEC, Sun Belt
