4. Who is, technically, underrated?
If there are things that are overrated, then there have to be other parts that are underrated. And here they are …
No. 14 Michigan
The Wolverines have the quarterback now in Shea Patterson, and the young receivers are going to be better. With an already set defense, this is a top ten-caliber team.
No. 24 Oregon
The Ducks aren’t that far off from where they should be, but they’re still underrated about about five spots. The defense will be terrific, and Justin Herbert might be the best quarterback in college football. Now the team has to produce.
No. 25 LSU
This is the most egregious error. It’s LSU – the offense will have skill guys who show up and are strong. The defensive parts alone make the Tigers worthy of a top 15 spot, but to be fair, they’ve been underappreciated by everyone in the offseason.
No. 26 South Carolina
This might just be the most talented South Carolina team in a long while. The offensive skill parts are there to be more interesting for a team that will be rock-solid across the board.
No. 27 Florida
The Gators are being chronically ignored – the defense, running game, and coaching will be good enough to beat just about anyone on the schedule. This is a top 20 team that will dabble in the top 15 throughout the season.
