The Big House advantage has to mean more than ever, because there are too many nasty games away from home to afford any home losses.

The Wolverines have lost three of their last four games against Wisconsin, but with what’s coming over the second half of the season, that has to change.

They have to handle Nebraska at home, too – going 1-3 in the series going back to 2005 – and watch out for what should be a dangerous Maryland game.

Beating the Badgers would be the moment when the Harbaugh era could pivot back into the realm of the elite – or, at least get close to it – and beating Penn State is a must, too.

3-1 in the last four games against the Nittany Lions, unlike other rivalry dates, Michigan hasn’t been bad in the series. They got blown away last year 42-13, but they haven’t lost at home since 2009.
