2018 Preseason CFN Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year

RB Bryce Love, Sr. Stanford
It’s so, so, so hard not to have Khalil Tate here. Or Jake Browning. Or Justin Herbert. But this could and should be Love’s season if he can stay in one piece and be as dangerous and amazing as he was throughout last year.

He might not be all that big, but his elite quickness, cutting ability, and toughness makes him a near-lock for a second-straight 2,000-yard season with lots of home runs and a ton of fun.

2018 Preseason CFN Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year

LB Cameron Smith, Sr. USC
There are several Trojans good enough to potentially be the Pac-12’s top defensive star, but going into the season, the 6-2, 250-pound Smith should turn his solid career into something sensational as a senior.

A good tackler with 273 career stops with 112 last year, doing a nice job of getting behind the line on a regular basis. Porter Gustin and Christian Rector might be the top pass rushers, and Iman Marshall and Marvell Tell will be great in the Trojan secondary … and Smith will lead the way in tackles again.
