2018 Preseason CFN Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year

RB Jonathan Taylor, Soph. Wisconsin
Expected to be a nice part of the Badger running back puzzle as a true freshman, he became a Heisman-caliber star who flirted with the 2,000-yard mark in a historic first season. He finished with 1,977 yards and 13 scores, but he had a fumbling issue around the goal line – his touchdown numbers should’ve been far bigger. Now, behind an NFL-caliber offensive front, he should be every bit as strong and – as unrealistic as it might be – to potentially do even more.

DT Rashan Gary, Jr. Michigan
No argument if you wanted to make this Ohio State DE Nick Bosa – there’s no wrong answer here, at least in terms of NFL talent.

Gary was a former top national recruit who’s playing himself into a potential top overall NFL draft pick – or at least a part of the top five, along with Bosa – with phenomenal quickness and the ability to get into the backfield on a consistent basis. The 6-5, 281-pounder has 81 tackles and 5.5 sacks in his first two seasons – he might just hit that sack mark this season alone.
