Colorado State Prediction: What’s Going To Happen
The Rams will be okay, but it’ll be a fight to get past the seven-win mark of last year after losing so much talent.
Getting KJ Carta-Samuels should help the passing game keep on going, but the lines are going to struggle a wee bit, the defense isn’t going to be appreciably better, and the offense is going to be a bit worse.
But after three straight 7-6 seasons, the talent is there to be … 7-6. There won’t be any sort of a run to the Mountain West title, but it’ll be a solid, but unspectacular season.
Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 6
With Hawaii, Illinois State and New Mexico at home, and San Jose State on the road, there should be a base of four wins to work around. It’ll be a struggle early on, but can the Rams beat Wyoming and Utah State at home? Can they at least split against Nevada and Air Force on the road?
Six wins should be a lock, but that’s assuming there isn’t a whiff somewhere along the way. It’ll be a bowl season, but getting to seven wins – with Colorado, Arkansas, at Florida and at Boise State – to deal with.
