Utah Prediction: What’s Going To Happen
Now is when the fun starts to kick in.
The changed up offense had a year to get everyone used to how it all worked, and now QB Tyler Huntley will make it all roll far more efficiently.
The lines will come around. It’s not like they were awful last season, but they should be stronger as the other parts start to improve. The downfield passing game will be sharper, the scoring explosions will come, and the plan will start to work.
It might not be quite enough to win the South – games against Washington, at Stanford, and Oregon from the North are a problem – but the Utes will be right there until the end.
Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 7
Over, over, over.
Where are the sure-thing losses? Okay, so the Utes have to go to Stanford, and they get three of the last four Pac-12 games on the road, and they have to face Washington, but that’s at home. The USC and Arizona gams are at home, too.
Going to Washington State isn’t like it was last season, and road trips to UCLA, Arizona State, and Colorado really aren’t that bad.
Expect at least one giant home win, one misfire of a conference loss, and eight regular season wins, minimum. This year’s team is two pre-bowl wins better than the 2016 version.
