Tulsa Prediction: What’s Going To Happen
The offense will start to work again.
The Tulsa defense will never be a brick wall, but it’ll be experienced, and most of the gaps are being filled in fast after rolling with a slew of young pieces last year. But it’s up to the offense to do its part to take the pressure off in shootouts.
The running game will do its part – the O line will be among the best in the conference, and the backs will be strong – and there’s no way, no how the passing game will be that pathetic again. This won’t be the killer from a few seasons ago, but it’ll flirt with 3,000 yards for the fourth time in five years.
Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 4
The Golden Hurricane will beat Central Arkansas, and it should be able to bomb away enough to come up with at least one stunner, but they’ll have to beat Arkansas State, survive the Tulane option attack, and get by UConn and SMU to have any prayer of getting to six wins and a bowl game.
As bad as things were last season, the team lost five games by a touchdown or less. It can pull off three of those types of wins this time around and get close to the five victory mark.
