Temple Prediction: What’s Going To Happen

This is when the Geoff Collins era really kicks in.

It was going to be a transition from the team that won the AAC title under Matt Rhule, and it took a little while. Midway through the season, the Owls started to kick it all in, and now they should be back to form and get in the conference title hunt again.

They’re going to struggle a bit on the defensive front, and the offensive line might be enough of a problem to keep the team from doing more than go to a bowl game, but there will be more offensive pop, and the D will have enough all-star playmakers to be every bit as good as it was in 2017.

Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 7.5

The road games will be the issue. It’s not like playing in Philly is a massive advantage, but having to go on the road to face Maryland, Boston College, Navy, UCF and Houston should bring at least three losses. That doesn’t even include a potentially dangerous date at UConn to close out the regular season.

Can Temple win at home against USF and not drop a dangerous date with Buffalo – don’t laugh; the Bulls will probably win the MAC – and Cincinnati? It had better if it wants to hit the eight-win regular season mark.
