NC State Prediction: What’s Going To Happen

The Wolfpack might have been a slight disappointment despite the nine wins, and this year it’ll overachieve with at least nine victories. And unlike last season, they might just get them in the regular season.

The key will be to not give away games against good-but-inferior teams. The offense will be just as strong as last season’s version – at least as long as QB Ryan Finley stays in one piece – and the defense, while worse talent-wise – will be just as productive. Expect this group to rise up and be good enough to allow around 25 points per game again, if not fewer.

Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 6.5

There shouldn’t be any problems at home over the first half of the season against James Madison, Georgia State, Virginia and Boston College, and they need to be good enough to get by Wake Forest in Raleigh, too.

Going to Louisville, Syracuse, North Carolina and Marshall will be dangerous, and dealing with West Virginia and Florida State at home will keep the total relatively low.
