Navy Prediction: What’s Going To Happen

It’ll be an interesting season with the Malcolm Perry at quarterback wrinkle adding even more pizzazz than usual.

You know how this is all going to roll.

The ground game will rip it up, the defense will be good enough, and the coaching will be peerless to make it all happen in yet another bowl season.

The schedule is just nasty enough to put a West title just out of reach, but as long as the passing game is just a wee bit more accurate, and as long as Perry stays in one piece, this will be one of Ken Niumatalolo’s most explosive teams yet.

Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 7.5

It’s a 13 game slate with a few big trips – starting at Hawaii and later having to travel to San Diego to face Notre Dame – and it’ll take seven wins to get to the post-season. It won’t be a breeze.

The Midshipmen have to beat the Rainbow Warriors, take care of Lehigh, Temple, and Tulsa, and then win at least two road games among SMU, Air Force, Cincinnati, and Tulane. Memphis, Houston, Notre Dame, Army, and at UCF – win at least two of those, and it’ll be a strong season.
