Baylor Prediction: What’s Going To Happen
The Bears are about to be a whole lot better.
The pains of the transition out of the Art Briles era will still be felt, but at least there will be more wins, more defense, and more moments when things start to go their way.
Experience will make up for several of last year’s issues, meaning they’ll be on the right side of a few of the close games, the consistency will be there, and all of a sudden, this will be the hot team going into 2019.
But for this year, just being one of the nation’s most improved teams and going bowling will be enough.
Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 5.5
Really? Can the Baylor team that couldn’t beat anyone but Kansas in 2017 be appreciably better? With all the returning experience, yes, and that should mean wins over Abilene Christian, at UTSA, Duke and Kansas to start out 4-0.
Can the Bears pull off two more wins from then on?
There has to be at least one home win out of Kansas State, Oklahoma State and TCU, but watch out for the regular season finale against Texas Tech in Arlington to be for bowl eligibility – for both teams.
