Preview 2018: Western Michigan Broncos

Western Michigan Prediction: What’s Going To Happen

Hosting Syracuse won’t be a breeze, but it’s a more manageable opener than going to USC like last year. Even so, expect an 0-2 start with a trip to Michigan to follow. And then there can’t be a slip for a while.

Delaware State, at Georgia State, at Miami University, Eastern Michigan, at Bowling Green. There’s a lot of traveling, but here’s where the Broncos can and will go on a run, going at least 4-1 – but expect them to be good enough to win all five.

The finishing kick is nasty, but outside of going to Central Michigan, all of the big games over the second half are at home.

Guessing The Preseason Regular Season Win Total Will Be Set At … 7.5

Get ready for the Broncos to be undervalued.

The MAC schedule couldn’t be more favorable in terms of the conference slate of home games. Again, Ohio is the bad boy from the East, but that’s in Kalamazoo, as are the huge dates with Toledo and Northern Illinois in West play.

Other than the road game at Michigan, everything is winnable, but assume the bar will be set at around seven wins. And then assume WMU will blow past that.
